Technology Description
- Mysore Fruit Products Limited (MFPL) is the major supplier of processed fruit products to Europe, USA and Middle East countries.
- MFPL products meet F.D.A. (USA), S.G.F ( Europe ), CODEX and FPO standards. Besides this, MFPL is also certified for HACCP system & ISO 9000-2000.
- MFPL has an ASEPTIC plant at Bangalore unit and a bottling plant at Hosur unit. MFPL procures fruits from various parts of South India and are subjected to various quality tests and only good fruits are accepted. Such fruits are placed in ripening sheds for natural ripening and then sent to processing section.
- Good and ripened fruits are washed in chlorinated water to clean & reduce the microbial load on fruits. The washed fruits are inspected for any blemished and other undesirable parts of the fruits are removed. The trimmed fruits are fed into pulpers for extraction of the pulp/puree. Prepared product is subjected to various quality checks. The product confirming to standards is sent for processing in fully automatic plant of aseptic packaging, which process the product on HTST (High Temperature Short Time).
- The hot pulp is cooled up to ambient temperature before filling into bags by heat exchangers using chilled water as a coolant agent. The sterile cooled pulp is filled into pre-sterilized aseptic bags under sterile environment.
- Finally a puff of nitrogen gas is given into the bag after filling is completed to avoid inhalation of air into the bag. The filled bags are placed in painted MS drum along with a protective polythene bag.
- The waste water generated bio-degradable in nature, which can be fed to any plantations. The seeds and peel are dried and used as manure
