)Laminated leaf springs are tough, tensile and durable and can be used for all types of vehicles.
)TVS TORSION is one of the most reputed names in a highly competitive market.
)The toughness of the laminated leaf springs is built through a series of processes. First, the leaves of the springs are processed. On the main leaf, the 'eyes' are formed. The processed leaves are heated to a temperature of 900 deg C in a walk-in beam furnace.
)These processed leaves are then put through cambering and quenching presses, during which they attain the desired shape. Then, the leaves are assembled and put through a scragging machine.
)A natural curve is ensured wit no defects such as eccentricity. The curved faces do not touch each other either at the top or on the sides.
)Putting the leaves together is a delicate operation because the amount of friction created could lead to erosion of the leaf faces.
)TVS TORSION has designed the leaves to reduce the friction. The gap between the leaves is also uniform, ensuring efficiency.
)The clamps are properly oriented, distributing the load evenly over the entire surface. This prevents the formation of stress points, which could lead to breakdowns.
)Rigorous testing is done at every stage of manufacture in order to ensure quality that woks flawlessly even in adverse conditions. The raw materials are tested for hardness and purity on a Brinell hardness testing machine. Once the leaves are assembled, they are checked for load rate and deflection on a 10-ton hydraulic spring testing machine. The spring assembly is also tested for fatigue on a 63-ton eccentric press.
