List of Projects Supported

1. Database of Exportable Technologies /Projects from SMEs - NAFEN

Over 575 profiles of exportable technologies / projects from SMEs in 20 Indian States and 2 Union Territories in more than 17 industrial sectors have been compiled. Click Here to Search the Database of Exportable Technologies/Projects from SMEs

2. Co-operation between Indian and Overseas Industries on Projects & Joint ventures 

(i) Project on Promoting Technology Co-operation and Trade between India and CIS Countries - MITCON facilitated signing of 9 MoUs between commercial Indian and CIS companies, besides 7 institutional MoUs. List of MoUs signed with CIS Organizations
(ii) Project on Promoting Technology Co-operation and Trade between India African countries – NAFEN facilitated signing of 29 MoUs with parties in Nigeria, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Ghana for manufacturing a range of products in the respective countries. List of MoUs signed with African Organizations 

3. Compendium on Technology Exports - IIFT

The publication, brought out in association with IIFT provides first hand data and analysis of technology intensive exports of technology intensive organizations. The latest volume, IX in the series, has reported exports of Rs.1856.78 billion by 367 organizations during 2007-08. 4. Technology Export Newsletter - IIFT

34 issues of newsletter have been brought out in association with IIFT during 1998-2007. The newsletter has been disseminated to Indian embassies/missions, foreign embassies in India and other export promotion bodies, with positive feedback. Click Here to see Technology Exports Newsletter.

5. Studies on Defining the Role of Government in Transnationalization Efforts of Indian SMEs

6. Centre for International Trade in Technology (CITT)

Centre for International Trade in Technology was established in 2001 in association with Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi with the following objectives:

• To sensitize government towards an enabling and pro-active technology policy regime
• To develop a cadre of experts and trainers in international technology trade 
• To support industry by providing analytical information on technology export potential sectors and markets. 

The Cente undertook following research studies among others:

(i) Study on Technology Branding in SME’s Report
(ii) Study on Exportable R&D Services from CSIR System 
(iii) Study on Exportable R&D Services from ICMR System
(iv) Study on Survival of Start-Ups Report
(v) Study on Foreign R&D Centres in India

7. Technology Export Development Organization (TEDO)

Technology Export Development Organization (TEDO) was established in the year 2000 in association with Confederation of Indian Industry with the following objectives:

(i) To encourage and provide catalytic support to industry in its technology export efforts
(ii) To build linkages between potential suppliers of technologies, projects, services and high value added products from India and potential overseas buyers

Major Activities-

8. Technology Trade Facilitation Centre – National Research Development Corporation 

Technology Trade Facilitation Centre (TTFC) was set up at NRDC Head Quarters in New Delhi to facilitate export of technology intensive products, services and projects. A Compendium of profiles of 42 companies who participated in TTFC was prepared. Details

9. Technology Trade Pavilion promoted under the Programme 

A Technology Trade Pavilion has been promoted by DSIR (during 1997-2007) in the Annual India International Trade Fair held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The fair provided a platform for showcasing R & D and technology capabilities of industries and R&D institutions. Details
