Support to Studies


DSIR announces an extension of the application deadline for the A2K+ Studies scheme under Advertisement No. A2KS-15011/1/2023-IRD-DSIR(Download 703KB)pdf. The original deadline for filing applications was October 20, 2023. The fresh call for proposal for the A2K+ Studies scheme will now remain open for applications until November 4, 2023. This extension specifically applies to online filing of applications through the Service Plus portal. [27 OCT 2023] 

The Department has been undertaking a variety of studies in the broad area of technology and innovation management for the benefit of industry and research organizations. These include technology status studies in specific product and process areas, analytical reports of specific industry clusters, cases studies bringing out industry practices, research studies on industry related subjects, technology norms of industrial sectors, and other categories of reports.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVE

The objective of A2K+ Studies program is to support studies in emerging areas of technology aimed at providing useful information and knowledge base to industry, industry associations, academia, research institutions, consultants, entrepreneurs, research students and policy makers for doing any further work in these areas; to study and analyse the developments in the emerging technology areas and document the findings, leanings and outcomes for wider dissemination; and preparation of status reports on technologies from public funded institutions, that are ready for commercialization with a view to Catalyse the translation of research output from institutions to market.

Call for Fresh Proposals ( Last date for Submission of Proposal: 04/11/2023 )

Proposal for study is invited on following topics:

  1. Affordable and Clean Energy (Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy) – Research & Development support and mobilization of public and private capital for innovation in clean and renewable energy.
  2. Women and Technology: STI Investments and Policy Foresights for Economic and Social Empowerment of women.
  3. India’s technological import liabilities and the development of frameworks and methodologies for S&T interventions on import substitution.
  4. Funding mechanisms for strengthening Industrial R&D and Innovation landscape in India.
  5. Scope of artificial intelligence based technologies in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, smart cities and infrastructure and smart mobility and transportation.

Scope of the study:

  • The final report should be a go-to solution for stakeholders towards future research and commercialization strategy based on current national and global scenario.
  • Report should capture elaborate review of existing ecosystem and infrastructure.
  • Report to capture elaborate discussion and analysis based on reliable references on future prospects, probable solutions, policy recommendations and regulations in the field aligned with National vision.
  • As a part of the study the data available with various Industry, Government Departments, Industry associations and other relevant sources shall be collected and reviewed with appropriate disclaimer and approvals.
  • Organize stakeholder consultations and carry out one to one or questionnaire based interactions with segment wise key players.

Duration: Up to 1 year

ELIGIBILITY

  • Industry Associations including Sectoral Industry Associations, Export Promotion Councils and Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
  • Central and State Government Departments and their associated bodies including Technical Consultancy Organizations (established by State Government, Financial Institutions & Banks).
  • National R&D Institutions and Organizations including SIROs recognized by DSIR and PFRIs registered with DSIR.
  • Approved Universities and Colleges as listed in UGC/AICTE website
  • Institutions having a distinct legal entity (as per Rule 228 of GFR 2017).

Submit online application:

The “Support to Studies (A2K+ Studies)” program of DSIR is launched on service Plus Platform.

Organizations/ Institutes intending to apply for financial assistance under fresh call for proposals under DSIR-A2K+ (Studies) program are requested to submit their application online on service Plus Portal at https://serviceonline.gov.in/dbt . Those interested in submitting proposal have to register at this portal and submit the proposal online. Please read detailed instructions and application format available on the portal carefully before submitting the proposal.

In addition, kindly note that non-government voluntary organizations are also required to submit Organization’s Unique ID in NGO Darpan Portal while registering at service Plus Platform for filing online application.

On submission of the application online, they should take printout and get it signed by head of the institution and submit one set of hard copy along with all the annexures, attachments etc. to DSIR by Speed-post.
