Technology/Process Description:

Innvol Medical India Limited manufactures and markets a range of PVC bags for blood transfusions and infusion solutions. Blood bags are made from imported, medical grade PVC granules & sheets in Class 10000 Clean room environments. These bags have certain features which are as follows:

·          Rib supports for ports and tubing are designed to withstand collapse during storage and use. They also guarantee retention of shape of port outlets and tubing.

·          Round corners avoid friction, and ensure smoother transfer of blood components during separation & transfusion.

·          Special leak-proof design

·    25 mm side-tear seals provided away from the inside of the bag to eliminate rupture or leakage     during centrifugation

·    Additional stoppers at the ends of the seals, block further tear

·    RF welding machine is used to weld the sides of the bag

·          CPDA-1 anticoagulant solution (USP 23), prevents coagulation of blood and adjusts pH, supports ATP production and helps to maintain A TP level in red cells.

·        Non-peel off labels, moisture resistant with hot-melt adhesive enables easy identification of distinctly marked information.

·          Snap-tip system - In multiple bags, a simple bend of the connection tube allows blood components to be transferred into integral satellite bags. The closed system rules out the risk of contamination.

·          Non-slick frosted technology is easy to knot and seal

·          Calendared surface designed to withstand trauma to the blood cellular components

·          Sterilized and ready-to-use with anticoagulant solution. Excellent flexibility & clarity

·          Short-beak bevel needle (16G) offers least resistance to needle penetration and less trauma to the donor

·          Packing - All bags are individually packed and sealed. Each bag remains sterile even after the outer aluminum foil pack is opened

§          Optional: Transfer bag with SAG- M solution/5 days platelets storage

§          The system is also available with 1 x 450 ml bag containing CPD solution, 2 x 300 ml bags with no solution & 1 x 300 ml bag with 100 ml SAG-M solution
